A project I put together during my final year at university. I constructed all of the assets in Maya and ZBrush. Most of the texturing was done in Substance Painter, or Substance Designer. Scene was composed in UE4.
I wanted to create a Roman Villa that was reasonably accurate to the period of around the 2nd Century. These Villas, or Domus, were built to house an entire upper class family and any slaves that family owned. This is the atrium, the main room and often the most impressive so as to make a good first impression. The hole in the roof is the depluvium, it collects rain water that the family will use for drinking and bathing.
